Mount Desert Police Association Sponsors Community Cafe
An estimated 250 people turned out for a wonderful afternoon at the Neighborhood House.

The Mount Desert Police Association was honored to sponsor the Community Cafe at the Neighborhood House today. An estimated 250 people showed up — what a great turnout!
Officer Harrington, Mental Health Liaison Melissa Gleason, and Officer Payson were among the several members of our department who were able to attend today. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
Events like the Community Cafe are at the heart of what community policing is all about. They give residents and officers a chance to sit down together, share a meal, and build the trust and relationships that keep our island community strong.
"Thank you to everyone who came out today. Community connections like these make all the difference."
