Administrative Services Overview

The Administrative Services Division is the backbone of the Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Police Departments, providing essential support services that enable our officers to serve the community effectively and efficiently.

Our Core Functions

Office Support & Communications

Managing daily administrative operations, handling correspondence, maintaining filing systems.

Records & Information Management

Maintaining comprehensive department records, processing documentation, handling public records requests.

Training & Certification Coordination

Enforcing POST rules, maintaining training records, scheduling department training.

Fiscal Management & Procurement

Handling department purchasing, managing contracts, monitoring budget expenditures.
